Since the presidential election on November 5th, 2024, there have been many publicly confirmed assassination attempts on Donald Trump. On June 14th, just 3 days ago, the largest attempt took place during the “UFC Freedom 250” on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C., coinciding with Flag Day, America’s 250th anniversary celebration, and Trump’s 80th birthday.

According to court documents, the first phase of the attack involved explosive drones and snipers targeting government officials—the second phase called for suspects to attack and seize the White House gates. After a mother’s warning just four days before the attack, however, U.S. Secret Service members were able to stand on guard.

Proper’s son, 19-year-old Tycen Proper of Ohio, just one of the five suspects charged in the case, drained his graduation funds and spent roughly 3,000 dollars on weapons, ammunition, and tactical gear. Concerned, his mother was alarmed by the recent purchases and online communications. These communications explicitly included “hatred toward President Trump, Israel, and billionaires and reflected anti-government and extremist views,” said CBN. Five men are currently in custody across four states, and 23 members in an encrypted Signal chat group on Proper's cellphone called "Hunters” had planned to help carry out the attack.

Calling the planned attack a “terrorist plot,” Vice President JD Vance explained, “That's not a few guys doing crazy stuff. That is a coordinated plan, a terrorist plot. Thank God we thwarted it."

"Twenty-three people do not get to the point where they're gonna commit a mass terror incident in Washington, DC, without some serious funding, without some serious coordination," said Vance.

As the investigation remains active, “FBI Director Kash Patel says law enforcement agencies became aware of the threat in time to stop the attack before it could be carried out, saying the plot was "stopped cold.”
