Young Woman’s Unexpected Graduation Moment Leaves Crowd Cheering

One young woman’s unexpected graduation moment leaves the crowd cheering. She displayed resilience and strength of character as she made her way to receive her diploma. Watch the short and powerful clip to see what she did that will likely have you wiping away a tear or two from your eyes.

Life is a long series of unexpected events. Some will be good, happy occasions and reasons to celebrate, where you’ll experience life’s mountaintop. However, unfortunately, with other instances, you’ll experience the valleys, the lowest of lows. Those situations will be marked by pain, agony and heartbreak.

While we often cannot control or predict what will happen, we have power over our response and reaction. When life becomes unbearable and overwhelming, we can quit and declare ourselves defeated or soldier on, doing what we can to make the best of the situation. In a clip posted on YouTube, a recent George Mason graduate, Samantha Lewis, refused to quit, continuing when she encountered devastating, overwhelming circumstances.

She came down with a rare neurological condition, causing her to lose feeling in both legs, basically leaving her paralyzed. However, although it would have been much easier, Samantha refused to give up. She continued with her studies, taking six classes simultaneously while she went through months of physical therapy. The video explains that she had to learn to walk again.

“I’m going to try my best because I can’t give up without trying first,” Samantha said.

Eventually, graduation day arrived, and Samantha appeared on stage in a wheelchair. Still, she did something no one saw coming: She stood up and walked across the stage to receive her diploma, and as she did that, the noise level was deafening.

“What inspires people who you become despite what you’ve been through,” Samantha said.

James 1:12 “There is a blessing on the man who undergoes testing; because, if he has God’s approval, he will be given the crown of life, which the Lord has said he will give to those who have love for him.”

Barber’s Gentle Approach with Young Man with Autism Touches Hearts

A barber’s gentle approach to a young man with autism touches hearts. The man went at a pace that was comfortable and to the young man’s liking, never pushing him any further than he wanted to go. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see what the barber did that will have you brushing away tears from your eyes.

The world is often a scary, sad and cruel place. Have a glance at the evening news or spend five minutes on any popular social media platform, and you’ll quickly come to the same conclusion. Sadly, people have the ability to inflict immeasurable pain and suffering upon one another.

Undoubtedly, love, kindness and patience are in short supply today. Many people say they desire to improve the world and make it a better place, so why don’t they? Why not start by being kinder, more loving and patient with those in our spheres of influence? That is precisely what one barber did in a clip posted on YouTube.

The clip begins with the barber approaching the young man, Kyson. From his initial reaction, it’s clear that this is an entirely new experience for him, and he’s terrified. However, the barber remains calm, cool and understanding throughout the process.

The barber talks to the young man the whole time, trying to understand what makes him so afraid and uneasy. Anytime something arises that upsets Kyson, the barber slows things down and patiently reassures him.

Eventually, the little guy feels comfortable enough to hop into the chair and is coaxed into getting his haircut. While cutting the young man’s hair, the barber starts conversing with him, asking if they are now friends.

Later, the clip shows Kyson’s second visit to the barbershop, during which the barber demonstrates the same level of kindness, love and patience.

“That’s the gift when you’re like, when you see him transition from being terrified to just trusting, you know?” the kind and understanding barber says.

Community Comes Together to Support 80-Year-Old Man Still Working to Pay Medical Bills

A community has come together to support an 80-year-old man still working to pay medical bills. The elderly gentleman continues to go to work because of a promise he made to his late wife. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear what the community did and why the man continues to work even though he’s past the age when most people retire.

Retirement is a lifelong goal for most people. That time when someone can kick back and relax and not have to worry about going to a 9-to-5 is a period many people dream about. When someone reaches the point where they no longer have to work, it is no wonder that they are often said to be in their “golden years.”

Sadly, though, not everyone can afford to retire. For one reason or another, a lot of people have to continue working even at an advanced age. However, someone in their 80s or 90s shouldn’t have to work. We were created for more than simply working until we drop dead. That’s exactly what one woman thought when she saw Gary Saling bagging groceries, and she decided to do something.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Gary explains that his wife Carol developed and later died from a form of dementia. However, he explains that he made a promise to her when she was sick: he would not put her in a nursing home but would instead keep her at their home. He turned to bagging groceries to help pay off the thousands in medical bills owed.

Duana Johnson saw the kind and gentle elderly man working at the supermarket and decided to do something.

“I saw Gary bagging groceries, and I thought, ‘What’s this guy? Why’s this elderly man still here?’” she asked.

The woman who is the head of a ministry in her Utah town started a donation account at a bank on behalf of Gary.

“So, we started a fundraiser, and people have been messaging saying that they, they see him all the time,” she said. “And they really love him. He’s always nice. He’s always kind. He’s always, like, you know, greeting them and smiling.”

Class Erupts in Cheers After Student’s Life-Changing Announcement

A class immediately erupted in cheers following a student’s life-changing announcement. The youngsters were beyond thrilled for their classmate and wasted no time expressing their excitement and happiness. Watch the short but powerful clip to see how the students responded and hear what excited them all.

Life is often not a fair or fun experience. That is especially true when someone comes down with a life-threatening medical condition. These are never easy circumstances, but they become exponentially more challenging and gut-wrenching when the patient is a child. No one ever wants to see a child suffer. Sadly, that is a situation that is all too familiar.

However, while it’s human nature to immediately jump to and envision the worst possible conclusion whenever someone mentions cancer, people do and can beat that horrible disease. A clip posted on social media shows a young man who was battling cancer informing his young classmates that he is now cancer-free.

In the video, the young man is captured quickly walking through the halls. It’s almost like he’s a man on a mission, ready to tell everyone possible about his good news, and why should he be? Cancer is an awful, horrible thing, and whenever it is defeated, it should be shared widely and celebrated.

As the little guy entered the auditorium, he was greeted with enthusiastic cheers and applause. His mere presence was enough to send his classmates wild, but the best was still yet to come.

While standing at the front of the room, an adult informs the youngsters sitting on the ground that Braxton wanted to stop by and share some important news with them.

“I’m cancer-free,” the young man says proudly.

The students erupt into cheers and applause, loving the news that they have just heard that their beloved classmate has defeated cancer.

What an absolutely beautiful announcement and reaction!

Dedicated Husband Dismantles Car to Recover Wife’s Lost Wedding Ring

A dedicated and determined husband completely dismantled their car to recover his wife’s lost wedding ring. Nothing would stop or stand in his way in the search for his wife’s wedding band. Watch the short but jaw-dropping clip to see the lengths one young man went to recover the wedding ring that his better half had lost.

One’s wedding day is easily one of the best days of their life. It’s the day when two people in love make a lifelong commitment to one another in front of God and their friends and family to stick it out and remain by each other’s side regardless of what life may throw their way. What’s not to love and enjoy about weddings?

Of course, there are many ways to keep and preserve the memories made on that special day, during that ceremony. Photos and videos are just two ways in which the moments on that special day can be forever captured, looked back upon and cherished. However, the wedding ring is likely the most important sign and memento from that all-important, life-changing day.

So, that’s why whenever someone loses or momentarily misplaces their wedding ring, they immediately get that awful feeling in the pit of their stomach. That was a feeling Jessica Foster likely felt when she lost her wedding ring in her and her husband’s BMW. However, her husband, Geno, was not going to be stopped. He was going to find that ring and actually took apart their car to find it.

In the video posted on YouTube, Geno is seen digging through what remains of his BMW. He has removed everything from it, leaving only the frame.

Eventually, Geno found what he was looking for: the ring between two pieces of carpet near the vehicle’s center console.

“I just knew I had to do whatever it takes to find the ring,” he said. “I wasn’t going to stop looking for it.”

Love and Devotion on Full Display as Couple Renews Vows After 71 Beautiful Years

Love and devotion were fully displayed when a couple renewed their vows after 71 beautiful years. The elderly pair, with their sweet ceremony, showed they are still deeply in love, committed and wholly devoted to one another. Watch the short but tear-jerking clip to see the two renew their vows and hear a little about this couple who have been together for over 70 years.

Marriage is not easy, but that is always the case when something is worth the effort. Like in every relationship, there are bumps all along the way in a marriage—disagreements and heated arguments are bound to happen. Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or has never been married. There is no such thing as a perfect marriage.

However, a marriage between two committed and wholly devoted people who love one another can withstand those intense, heated disagreements. As the Bible says in 1 Corinthians, love is patient, kind, not easily angered and keeps no record of wrong, among other things. Love never fails.

A clip posted on YouTube shows a couple who is an excellent example of how love is described in 1 Corinthians chapter 13. Albert Love and Kathleen Hart have been married for over 70 years and undoubtedly have had their fair share of disagreements and tiffs. But they have weathered those storms, remained together, and recently upped their commitment to one another as they renewed their wedding vows on their 71st anniversary at their nursing home.

While holding hands with her dearly beloved husband, Albert, Kathleen said the couple had a very specific and sweet reason for renewing their wedding vows.

“We’ve been married a long time, and our kids weren’t there for our first wedding, so we decided to do it again for them,” she said.

The clip mentions that the pastor who officiated their renewal ceremony was their son.

13-Year-Old Who Loves Learning Graduates From College

A 13-year-old who loves learning has graduated from college. Not even old enough to drive, this young man already has a college degree. Watch the short but awe-inspiring clip to see and hear about this young man’s incredible educational achievement.

An education is something that will forever and always remain incomplete. Regardless of the number of degrees someone may possess, there will always be more to learn. More facts, figures and information exist than we currently know and understand, making learning a never-ending process.

Learning is an ongoing, lifelong procedure. That’s why you are never too old to learn something new, and as one little guy has demonstrated, you are never too young, either. A clip posted on YouTube tells of a 13-year-old, Beckett Potter, who graduated from a college in Dallas, Texas.

As the video explains, Beckett started high school at just 11 years old, and because of dual-credit classes, he completed an associate’s degree. Graduating from college is always an impressive accomplishment that should be recognized and celebrated. It becomes all the more impressive when the diploma recipient is not even old enough to drive a car.

In an interview, the impressive young man thanked his teachers and professors for helping him succeed in the classroom.

“For as long as I can remember, learning has always been one of the best parts of life,” Beckett said. “And, you know, I just enjoy reading and learning…And because of my amazing teachers, and now professors, as I’m here at Dallas College, I’m really grateful that they’ve been able to further my educational journey,” he said.

The video mentioned that Beckett now has plans to move on to a four-year school and major in engineering.

Whether it be engineering, mathematics or some other field, whatever degree this young man ultimately decides to pursue, he will assuredly succeed and do well.

Blake Shelton Shares How Gwen Stefani Has Helped Strengthen His Faith

Blake Shelton has shared how Gwen Stefani has helped strengthen his faith. In an interview, the country music star mentioned how his faith has grown recently and the role his wife and fellow musician, Gwen, has played in that.

Hollywood is typically not a place where faith is openly discussed or shared. For the most part, entertainers are usually tight-lipped regarding matters of faith. If they do share their thoughts and opinions on faith and religion, it’s usually to denigrate or put down those who do have faith and believe in God.

However, during a recent interview with singer-songwriter Kelleleigh Bannen, the host of the Kelleliegh Bannen Show, the topic of faith came up during a conversation with Blake Shelton. She asked the former The Voice judge if he has experienced any change in his faith, given his age, his mid-40s.

Blake was quick to respond, saying that it has grown considerably as of late. He was also quick to say that he credits his growth in his faith to one person: his wife, Gwen Stefani.

“Yeah, I would say that, and that comes from Gwen’s influence, you know?” Blake said. “Gwen in, you know, I’ve learned so much from her and she’s really the person that’s helped me kind of, you know, of get in touch with my faith, and gets serious about it, it’s not just something that you say at an awards show.”

Later in the clip, he mentioned how Gwen has pushed him to constantly think about and consider his faith. He said that she always sees the hand of God in everything around her.

“And it’s really special to be around her because it’s, her faith is alive, and it’s incredible to be around her,” he said. “And she’s so happy about it, and she loves to share it to anybody that’ll listen, and it’s inspiring to be around her.”

Party Invite Led to Beautiful Moment Between a Little Girl and Her Bus Driver

A party invite resulted in a beautiful moment between a little girl and her bus driver. The little girl went out of her way to make the elderly man feel welcomed and loved. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see the adorable moment between the two.

Children are some of the most honest people you’ll ever encounter. They are often brutally honest and blunt, typically not beating around the bush, but getting right to the point and stating how they feel, regardless of how someone takes it. If you want an honest assessment or opinion, ask a child, but just be prepared for what you may hear.

Another trait that most children have is their immense capacity to show love, kindness and concern for others. Many will go out of their way to talk to someone, especially if it’s an individual who appears to be all alone. They will be friends with someone who doesn’t seem to have friends. That is precisely what happened in one adorable clip posted on YouTube.

In the video, it’s explained that the young woman was having a party to celebrate her graduation from kindergarten. With it being her party, she probably had a fair amount of control over the guest list. One of the people who received an invite to her shindig was her school bus driver.

The video shows the little girl and the elderly bus driver interacting and conversing. However, the video does not show everything as the narrator explains that the child did everything she could to make the man feel like he belonged.

The man narrating the clip mentions that the child stayed with the older gentleman the entire time he was at the party. She exhibited great concern, love and kindness. How sweet is that?

McDonald’s Employee Shows Incredible Kindness and Is Instantly Rewarded

A McDonald’s employee shows incredible kindness and is instantly rewarded in a way she never expected. Some stories are soft like sunrise. They slip in when you least expect them, wrapping themselves around your heart before you even realize you’re weeping. This one began with a humble question, a Happy Meal, and a woman in a McDonald’s uniform who just wanted to be kind.

She was working the window, the kind of everyday hero we don’t often notice—hair pulled back, shirt tucked in, wearing the grease and grace of a fast food shift. Maybe she’d had a hard morning. Maybe rent was due. Maybe her feet ached in shoes that had lost their cushion months ago. But still, she smiled.

When she walked out to the car to deliver one of the meals they had ordered, she expected to deliver it and walk back to her work. But then the question came, a bit sideways. “Could we borrow $10 for a Happy Meal?” the dad asked gently. Her eyebrows furrowed, unsure. Borrow money from her? At her job? But then—then she looked, really looked, and saw the sweetness in the family. The little one’s hopeful eyes were sitting in the backseat. Something softened. Without hesitation, she nodded and said, “I’ll buy it for you.”

Kindness is just like that: quiet, unassuming, and willing, with no questions and no judgment—just love.

She turned to walk away to cover the cost with her card. But then—she heard it: “Wait. Don’t go.” She paused, thinking maybe he wanted to change the order. Maybe he was embarrassed. Instead, he handed her a handful of cash. A total of $1,000. He looked her in the eye and said, “It was a test. We just wanted to see if someone would help.” And she passed.

Oh, how she passed—with flying colors of grace and compassion. Her hand trembled as she held the cash. Tears brimmed, but she blinked them back. Because sometimes the world surprises you, and when it does, you don’t want to miss a single second of it.

McDonald’s workers are paid decently, but we all know decently isn’t the same as “enough.” And yet, she was willing to give what little she had, simply to show love. It’s these moments that heal the world. The small, unseen decisions to be generous. The yes when it would’ve been easier to say no. The instinct to see people not for what they can give, but for who they are. She was willing to help, and what she received in return was a gift. She received hope. Kindness always comes back, always multiplies, and always matters. And sometimes it shows up in the form of nuggets and apple slices, with $1,000 in thank-you tucked quietly behind it.

Let’s be those people. The ones who see. The ones who stop. The ones who say yes. The ones who change the world, one small act at a time.

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over…” Luke 6:38

This Couple Turns Date Nights Into Moments of Spiritual Growth

Who knew date nights could include coffee and reading the Bible? This couple turns date nights into moments of spiritual growth. We’ve heard it repeatedly—“Don’t stop dating your spouse.” That phrase gets tossed around like wedding confetti—meant to stick, meant to shine, but often forgotten once real life hits. The laundry piles up. The kids fight over cereal. The dishes become mountains, and your conversations become more about schedules and bills than dreams and devotions.

But what if dating your spouse didn’t have to be so glittery? What if the secret to joy in your marriage wasn’t always about candlelit restaurants or shaved legs, but something deeper and more sacred?

That’s exactly what Faith and her husband are discovering. And it might just be the sweetest thing you’ll see all day. Faith is a Christian mom, a seminary student, a pastor’s wife, and a woman who isn’t afraid to go deep. She’s not in it for surface-level living or shallow faith. Her heart beats for the richness of Scripture and the closeness of Christ.

In her world, date night looks a little different. It starts with gathering their supplies—journals, Bibles, highlighters—because when the Word of God is involved, even date night becomes holy. Then they head to grab coffee, not to check off a box or make an Instagram-worthy moment, but to sit side by side, Bibles open, hearts open, listening.

Together, they nerd out over theology, underline verses, pause to share what they’re learning, and take notes on what God is whispering to their hearts. There's laughter, tears, and a deep connection that comes from pursuing the Lord together. They’re not just dating—they’re growing. They’re building a marriage that doesn’t rely on fancy dinners but on the rock-solid foundation of Scripture. That kind of dating is more romantic than roses and more intimate than candles. It’s two souls leaning in toward God and each other.

There’s something so beautiful, so sacred, about flipping through pages of truth while sipping coffee and holding the hand of the one who promised to walk life beside you. This kind of intentionality doesn’t just make for sweet afternoons—it builds the kind of marriage that weathers storms and shines light into dark places.

Maybe you’re craving that kind of connection, too. Maybe your soul is longing not just for a break from the kids or a fun night out, but for something deeper, and something holy. Maybe what your marriage needs most isn’t another dinner out, but an invitation back to God’s Word, together.

When you sit down with your spouse and open the Bible, you’re not just spending time, and you’re sowing seeds. As you read and reflect and pray and laugh over the notes scribbled in the margins, you’ll find that the bond between you deepens in ways that last longer than dessert or movie tickets.

As Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” That third strand? It’s Jesus. And when He’s wrapped right in the middle of your love story, your marriage becomes something rare, beautiful, and unbreakable. So grab the coffee, open the Word, and make a date—not just with each other, but with the One who makes your love story sacred.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

80-Year-Old Graduates from College, Proving It’s Never Too Late to Learn

An 80-year-old graduated from college and has proven that it’s never too late to learn. The elderly gentleman participated in the graduation ceremonies, where he walked across the stage and picked up his diploma. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see the man graduate from college and fulfill his promise.

We all get a little older with every passing day, hour, minute and second.  As much as people may try to slow down and even reverse time, it stops for no one. So, because time continually marches forward, aging is a process that impacts everyone.

Since aging can’t be stopped or avoided, we have two options. We can either fret and worry about aging and allow it to keep us from enjoying the time God has given us. Or we can use our time on this Earth and make the most of it. Time is our most precious commodity, and once it’s gone, we’ll never get it back. We won’t be able to recover a single second of lost time.

A clip posted on YouTube shows an elderly gentleman, an 80-year-old man, who decided to use the time he’d been given for something good and worthwhile. Linwood Riddick demonstrated that no one is too old to learn something new. He graduated from South Carolina State University. That special, heartwarming and tear-jerking moment was the fulfillment of a promise he had made to himself.

The video mentions that Linwood was forced to put his educational aspirations on hold because of his military service and because of segregation. But he persevered, saw it through, walked across that stage and became a college graduate!

He looks as if he’s about to tear up! Linwood can serve as an inspiration to others, proving that we are never too old to learn something new.

Ecclesiastes 7:12 “Wisdom keeps a man from danger even as money does; but the value of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to its owner.”

What Happened at This Gas Pump Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity

What happened at this gas pump will restore your faith in humanity. The young woman could not believe the love and kindness someone had shown her and immediately turned to God to thank Him. Watch the short but moving clip to see the tear-jerking act of kindness and love.

The world is often a cold, cruel and lonely place. Most people possess a dog-eat-dog mentality and only care about themselves and no one else. We see this kind of thinking on display everywhere we look—from government leaders, in the workplace, on the news and on social media. For many people, it’s almost like other people and their needs are a hindrance and an obstacle to them.

However, when we stop thinking about only ourselves and our well-being, and consider someone else, we can make a world of difference in their lives. A clip posted on YouTube shows an unexpected, heartwarming act of kindness and how it greatly impacted them and their situation.

In the video, a young woman stands at the front of her car, which is sitting next to a gas pump. She frantically counts her dollars and change, looking extremely worried, wondering how she will pay for the gas she desperately needs. As she does this, a second woman slowly and quietly comes up behind her and places the gas pump she was using into her car. Once she puts the pump in the young woman’s car, she turns away and leaves the scene. She did not stay around to be thanked or recognized for her good deed.

Once the young woman turns around and sees what has happened, she cannot believe it and looks around for the person who might have done it.

But that is not all.

After her gas tank is full and she returns the handle to the correct pump, she breaks down in tears and immediately thanks the Lord for providing for her.

What a sweet and powerful moment that will likely bring a tear or two to your eyes.

Nurse’s Love and Compassion Shines as She Responds Yes to Dying Patient’s Request

One nurse’s love and compassion shone through as she responded “yes” to a dying patient’s request. The woman’s ask was not small either, it was life-changing for everyone involved. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear the big request the woman battling cancer made of her nurse.

Life is not often fair or easy. Pain and hurt are very real parts of it, and they happen more often than we’d like to admit. At one point or another, everyone will experience these situations. Frequently, sickness and disease are big culprits and a significant source of much of the hurt and heartache in the world.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman who was suffering from terminal cancer made an unexpected and monumental request of her nurse. Trisha Summers, the mother of an 8-year-old son, asked her nurse if she would take and raise her son as her own after she passes away.

Trisha made the large request of the nurse, Tricia Seaman, soon after she walked into her room, before the nurse had even said a word to her. They were complete strangers to one another.

“Before she even said anything, I just felt comfort,” Trisha said. “It was almost like someone put, like, a warm blanket on me.”

After talking it over with her family, Tricia agreed to the dying woman’s request to take in her son Wesley and raise him as her own, but she went even one step further. Tricia and her family brought Wesley and Trisha into their home so they could be together during her last days.

“They needed to be together,” Tricia said.

She also added that showing that type of love and compassion to others is “what we’re supposed to do, more than we’re asked.”

What a powerful, massive act of love, compassion and mercy!

It’s been 11 years since Tricia and her family took in Wesley, now 19. He’s in college with plans to study nursing.

Teen’s Act of Honesty Leads to Surprise Reward

A teenager’s act of honesty led to a very expensive surprise reward. One person dug deep into their pocketbook when they purchased this young man a gift following his honest deed. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear what the young man did and how he was later rewarded for his move.

It's been said that honesty is the best policy, and of course, that is always the correct path. It may not always be the easiest or most profitable course of action, but it’s the best one. One lie or mistruth will inevitably lead to others, as the individual tries to cover up and hide their initial lie. It becomes a vicious and tiring circle, and once someone is branded as a liar, that can be a hard title to shake.

A clip posted on YouTube tells of a young man, Cody Chalmers, who happened to come across a wallet. Several hundred dollars were in the recovered wallet. Instead of adhering to the “finders’ keepers” adage, Cody set out to find the wallet’s owner. He eventually located the individual to whom the wallet belonged and returned it as he had found it.

But that is not where the story ends.

The hundreds of dollars in the wallet would have come in handy. Cody had been saving for an electronic bike that costs nearly $4,000. Cody’s mother was so proud of her son’s honest, integrity-displaying act that she posted it on Facebook. In the post, mom mentioned how her son had been saving for the bike, but returned the wallet and the money regardless. Several people responded to her post, writing how impressed they were and how much they appreciated the teenager’s move.

At one point, someone wrote that they wanted to buy that bike for Cody. After his mother protested and told this person otherwise, they purchased it for the teenager anyway.

“I’ve had it for less than a week or a week now, probably,” Cody said. “I have a 150 miles on it.”

Proverbs 11:3 “The righteousness of the upright will be their guide, but the twisted ways of the false will be their destruction.”

Moved to Tears, Woman Opens Up About a Beautiful Moment of Unexpected Kindness

Moved to tears, a woman opened up about a beautiful moment of unexpected kindness. She shared how one person’s compassion and love made a huge difference during a painful, heartbreaking moment. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear how one person’s simple act of kindness had a significant impact.

Sadly, this world is far too often a cruel, lonely and uncaring place. As evidenced by their attitudes and actions, many people are only concerned about themselves and fulfilling and meeting their needs. This dog-eat-dog mentality is seen everywhere, from our governmental leaders to our workplaces to even our neighborhoods.

However, being kind and showing someone a little grace and understanding can significantly impact them. When we do this, we will often never know the influence our actions had on them, which should never be a motivating factor. But in a clip posted on social media, one young woman shared how someone’s unexpected kindness allowed her to be with her dying grandfather in his last moments.

With tears in her eyes, the woman explained the situation. Her plane had just landed, and she had a connecting flight, and it was going to be tight whether she would be able to reach her next flight on time.

As people generally do after planes land, everyone on her plane stood up in the aisle and then didn’t move for what felt like ages. That’s when the woman sitting next to her did something unexpected.

“And when you could tell something was wrong, and nobody was getting out of the way so that I could get off the plane early, you asked me what was wrong, and I told you,” she said.

Her grandfather was dying, and without making her next flight, she was unsure if she would be able to say goodbye.

“You didn’t owe me anything, but you stepped out into the aisle, and you announced very loudly to everybody to please step aside so that I could get off the plane in a timely manner,” she said.

She barely made her connecting flight and was able to see her grandfather and say goodbye hours before he passed away, and it was made possible because of one person’s unexpected act of kindness.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”
