Shara McKee - Worshiping You

Heard this song on our local Christian radio station the other day. Blew me away. Shara has been recording for about 14 years and somehow I never heard of her. That's what happens when you have a steady diet of K-LOVE radio, you don't get to hear singers like this. Fortunately we have KYCC in Stockton, CA, and they play non-mainstream artists. This a fabulous song, and Shara has a fabulous voice. That's Shara's friend Tony Landry singing on the bridge. From the wonderful album "Break Through".

RPZ Lesson #5 - 1-800-GOT-JUNK

The Daily Pulse (Saturday, July 6, 2013): For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 1 Timothy 6:7 (NIV)

Vineyard Southeast - Not Be Moved (feat. Diane Thiel-Sharp)

I ran into this song on the latest SongDiscovery CD from Worship Leader magazine. I am on the music advisory panel there. I gave it a 5 on a scale of 1-5. Would have given it a 10, but it didn't go that high. This is a song by Vineyard Southeast. Here is some info from their Facebook page:

The Southeast Vineyard region is a group of like-minded churches in the panhandle of Florida, western Georgia, Tennessee, southern Kentucky, Alabama and Mississippi.
The Vineyard Southeast is a part of the Vineyard USA. We're a church planting movement with more than 1500 churches throughout the world. We are one of sixteen regions that comprise the Vineyard USA.

The Southeast Region includes Mississippi, Alabama, the panhandle of Florida, Western and Southern Georgia, Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.

Oh, and also http://vineyardworship.com

This is a pretty awesome song, led by Diane Thiel-Sharp along with awesome backup singers. The song was written by Crispin Schroeder and David Linhart. It was written in response to Hurricane Katrina, although my video doesn't really bring that aspect out; I decided to go in a broader direction. But, the sentiments about Katrina are still there. This is the title song from the CD "Not Be Moved", which has a lot of wonderful music. Download it from iTunes here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/not-be-moved-live-from-southeast/id654107647

Brentwood Kids - Is There Anything I Can Do For You

This is an oldie from about 1975 written by Dottie Rambo and David Huntsinger, from an album called "Down By The Creek Bank". This kids version was recorded around 2000 as a 25th anniversary version. I added a bunch of pictures that my wife and I took at Vacation Bible School. Very sweet song, very sweet kids in these pictures.

Entering the Promised Land (Video Jam)

This video jam titled "Entering the Promised Land" comes from a sermon preached by Dr. Vincent G. Artese titled "The Sin That Keeps Us Out Of The Promise Land ".

This sermon is based on Deuteronomy 1:19-28. It is a reminder that we must not be like the children of Israel in their murmuring, complaining, and rebellion against the Word of God and Moses His prophet. We must not cast longing eyes back upon Egypt! We must not become blind by self-indulgence sitting down by the springs of Kadesh Barnea consumed by deception and hypocrisy. We must obey God's commandments and go up and take possession of the Promised Land. God has given us all we need to do so, but we must get up and live our faith. All those who profess to be followers of Christ must stop refusing to move on, stop the grumbling, and stop the complaining, lest our bodies fall in the desert and the Promised Land continue to be controlled by the ungodly.

RPZ Lesson #4 - Your life savings go to a nursing home

The Daily Pulse (Friday, July 5, 2013): I have seen a grievous evil under the sun: wealth hoarded to the harm of its owners, or wealth lost through some misfortune, so that when they have children there is nothing left for them to inherit. Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb, and as everyone comes, so they depart. They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands. Ecclesiastes 5:13-15 (NIV)

RPZ Lesson #3 - Serving others

The Daily Pulse (Thursday, July 4, 2013): God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:10 (NIV)
