Rees Howells taught his only son Samuel the principles of intercession and commissioned him some weeks before his death, stating, “Whatever you do, stand and maintain these intercessions.” When the Lord called Rees Howells home in 1950, Samuel called these intercessors together and challenged them to continue in the life of faith and intercession.
For the next five decades, Samuel Rees Howells led this team, and others who would join them, to intercede during many great international crises, whenever the Holy Spirit laid a burden upon them. “The weapons of our warfare are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds,” said Samuel in one crisis, “There are many strongholds before us, but they can all be dealt with.” Throughout many of the lethal conflicts of the twentieth century, Samuel would seek the Lord and find His will for the situation; then he would be locked in profound spiritual struggles until God intervened! Between 1950-2004, Samuel with many others, interceded for God’s will to be fulfilled, from the Korean War to the Cuban Missile Crisis, and from the Six-Day War to the fall of the Soviet Union!

The Daily Pulse (Tuesday, October 23, 2012): "But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Matthew 6:3-4 (NIV)
'The Healer-His Word and Touch"(Matt8:16) Sunday morning @Set Free Yucaipa, 9:30. JESUS healed by word and touch. Does HE still heal today? If so, do we REALLY believe so? What about medical science? Who and what are we really relying on? Are we willing to simply take JESUS at HIS word and touch?
"I have survived 2 heart transplants, 1 kidney transplant, tracheostomy, gall bladder removal, pacemaker implantation, dialysis, diabetes, and a collapsed lung. I fight for my life on a daily basis but refuse 2 give up and I am very thankful for each day! I am convinced I am on this earth to spread a message of hope to all! DO NOT TAKE LIFE FOR GRANTED"~ Christophe Lafontant
The Daily Pulse (Monday, October 22, 2012): “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full." Matthew 6:2 (NIV)
A video I made for my nephew, Luke. He is a true miracle. When he was a newborn, the best eye doctors in the state and possibly the country said he was blind and would never see. They were shocked and had no explanation later when he WAS seeing. He was also given the prognosis (by other doctors) that he probably would never walk. Well- he runs now. And the best part- that gives me chills, is if you read the bible verse Luke 7:22 (which is Luke's name and birthday, July 22nd) it says: so he replied to the messengers, "Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor." I've believed in miracles ever since. Have faith people! (The music playing is "Great is the Lord" from the Michael W. Smith Project album)

Explanation of the painting, by Christa Rosier: "Three Towers symbolize the tri-une God. On the left tower is written in Hebrew: 'my fortress'. On the middle tower: 'my Salvador'. On the right tower: 'my refuge'.
"The word for 'He is my salvation' in Hebrew is 'Yeshua-ti'. The name of Jesus (literally 'Saviour') originates from the same word 'Yeshua'. The middle tower makes a cross and is therefore connected to the other towers.
"On the right side of this painting is a red string. This symbolizes 'waiting for God'. The Hebrew word for making rope originates from the same root as the verb 'to wait'. The more strings that are interwoven, the longer it takes to do so. This will always result in a a stronger rope."

Not my usual style of music, but this is a real fun song. Written by Rebecca J. Peck and Twila McBride-Labar. Really catchy song. Yes, God, you are indeed almighty!
I subscribe to Worship Leader magazine, and they offer an optional CD sampler every issue, called SongDiscovery. It always contains lots of good music mostly by non-mainstream Christian artists. I've found lots of good stuff on these sampler CDs, and have discovered lots of artists that are never played on the radio. This month's sampler CD included a song by Kassi Hemerka, whom I had never heard of. She's fantastic! Here is a video that I made for a song that she co-wrote with Adam Farrell, called "Sing Your Praises". Not necessarily deep lyrically, but powerful nonetheless, and very energetic. Would make a very good song for a worship team to sing in the middle of a worship set. From her album "You Can Heal My Heart", which has lots of great songs on it. Check it out!
