Maranatha, which means the Lord is coming, was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) after an ultra sound at the 20th week of pregnancy. HLHS an extremely severe and rare congenital heart defect. HLHS occurs when parts of the left side of the heart (mitral valve, left ventricle, aortic valve, and aorta) do not develop completely. The condition is present at birth (congenital). In simple terms HLHS means that Maranatha does not have the left side of her heart. If left untreated, HLHS is fatal. Survival rates for the staged repair continue to rise as surgery techniques and care after surgery improve. Please continue to pray for Maranatha, as well as all those contributing to her care. Thank you.
Daily Pulse - John 11:38-44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”
This majestic anthem is from a Don Moen CD called "God In Us", a collection of songs, devotions, and testimonies. The CD was recorded live at Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Florida. I'm not positive, but I believe this is the choir from that church singing; the liner notes are not clear. It's a medley of two songs - the old hymn written by Charles Wesley, "O For A Thousand Tongues", and a contemporary song written by Don Moen and Tom Ewing, called "He Is The King". The power of this song really gives me goosebumps.
This is a tribute to my daughter. My firstborn child who I love more than she will ever know. I admire her tenacity and compassion. She is amazingly talented and funny! Love that she has a heart for the things of God. My prayer is that she would love Jesus, above all else, all the days of her life!
