A non - accompanied rendition of "All Power Belongs To Our God"

In the mid 1990s we broadcasted a show on local cable called Good News Videos. This particular show was dedicated to anyone who was going through difficult times. It continues to encourage hence the title A Show of Encouragement. (NOTE: Regarding the licensing of videos, we were not provided a written agreement as streaming was not a thing back then. I will state that the record labels would send US the videos and we would copy the videos and send their tapes back to them. So, we do/did have permission to broadcast).

'Lord of the Light' is a reflective song about God's glory. Verse 1 is about God's creation, found in Genesis chapter 1.

'You are sovereign over creation.
You spoke, and darkness turned to light.
You made the still earth and the firmament,
You made sun and moon, split day and night.'

Verse 2 is about how God left his place in glory, and came to the earth in human form
(John chapter 1). Then he gave his life to redeem people from their sins (John 3:16).

I want to behold your glory,
For you reign in Heaven far above.
You came in the form of God’s Son,
Who redeemed mankind through your love.'

Verse 3 is similar to verse 2, again talking about God's glory, and how Christ came to show people the way to God the Father. He will come again in glory (Revelation 19). That will be to set up his kingdom on earth for 1000 years (Revelation 20).

'You reign in heavenly glory.
The angels sing praises in one accord.
You came to the earth to show us the way,
And you’re coming again, glorious Lord.'

Again, the chorus is about God's glory.

'You are Lord of the Light,
You are brighter than the sun.
And you cast out the night,
O Holy One'.

'My God' praises God for being greater than everything else. This song exhorts people to seek God and pray to him.

'Do you know the Lord? Do you know my God? I hope you do.
Do you pray to him, seek him every day? He wants you to.
The Spirit of God is seeking you night and day.
Can you hear him call? Will you answer him? Come and pray.'

He is all-knowing. He cares for his 'children'.

'My God is greater than any other, and I will bow down to no other. My God is waiting, come and seek him. Come and seek him every day.'

He is the supreme creator of the world, and looks down from Heaven.

'God is looking down on every city and town, he cares for you.
He is seated high above earth and sky, and he loves you.
He created the earth, every mountain and vale, and he made you.
Will you hear him call? Will you answer him? Seek him every day.'

This is a song in memory of my granny, Jeaney Edwards, who passed away recently. We are celebrating her heavenly healing and grateful for the time God allowed us to have with her.
