In Today's sermon, Pastor Jim Rhodes opens the scriptures to us so that our hearts may be soft and sensitive to God. Our hearts can be very slowly drawn away from sensitivity to God. We need to be on guard to not allow our hearts to be hardened by sin and the downward pull of the world. In a culture and age where we are advised to be sensitive to every cause and people group, we are admonished to have greater sensitivity to God's heart. When we stop listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we grieve Him. Let us be diligent and seek the Lord with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength in selfless love to Him. We need to make ourselves available and be desiring to hear God's voice in our hearts and through His Word. We also need to be willing to do all that He has for us to do.
Wait for it. There is a segment of today's update that has the potential to go viral, all in good fun. But on a more serious note, John addresses his concerns about the transition the world is going through, economically, socially, morally and spiritually. And that change is not good. John explains in this week's update entitled "Transitioning."

In Today's sermon, Pastor Jim Rhodes shows us that the sweetest of all sounds is praise. The Psalms provide us with the wisdom of praise to God. When we praise God, He begins to move on our behalf. Praise is a celebration of the character and nature of God, His mighty works, and His goodness in our lives. God sees our every circumstance, and does not turn a blind eye to our heartaches and hardships. When we praise God, especially in our trials and hardships, it becomes contagious. Others will desire to join in our praise, as we will desire to join in other's praise. Our praise can bring others to Jesus, just like Paul and Silas' praise in the midst of their hardship and incarceration brought the jailer to Jesus. Praise is constructive in that it redirects us from our circumstances to God, the source of our help, our protection, and our provision. If we praise, we will please God and help people.
