Restaurant Helps Save Woman After Receiving 'Call Police' Message On Takeout Order

Would you contact the police if someone sent a poorly worded note? Well in this case, it saved a life. A restaurant helps save a woman after receiving a ‘call police’ message on a takeout order. It was in the early morning hours, around 5 a.m. when an order came into the Chipper Truck Cafe in Yonkers in New York. It was a Grubhub order that had additional instructions. Instead of having instructions like, ‘use back door,’ or please add extra onions, this note instructed the servers to ‘call the police but don't make it obvious.’

Instead of ignoring the note, the servers took the instructions seriously. They could tell, the person who wrote the note was in danger and they wrote the note in a hurry. What they didn’t know was that a 24-year-old woman had been kidnapped and assaulted by a 32-year-old man.

The woman who was rescued from this terrible nightmare was able to get her captor to agree to ordering food because she convinced him she was hungry and needed to eat. The owner of the store is relieved her employees stepped in and helped. She said she values her customers and trains her employees to pay attention to the extra instructions because she doesn’t want to mess up anyone’s order. “We could see that it was someone that was in distress,” said the owner Alice Bermejo.

Let’s praise God for a life saved from what could've been a terrible ending. May we remember that anyone working in the food service industry can be a lifeline. A friend of the woman who was rescued called the restaurant to thank them for saving the woman’s life and to thank them for taking action to help their friend. Now this tragic story is going viral because we all hope it can be a tool to save someone else’s life too. A message is worth a thousand words if we’re willing to pay attention!

19-Year-Old Breaks The Mold With Big Voice During AGT Audition

Kristen Cruz is inspiring the world to be exactly who each of us are created to be. In a world where we shrink ourselves to fit into a cookie cutter mold, she is telling everyone don’t be anyone else but yourself. For being so young, she’s got some God-given wisdom as this 19-year-old breaks the mold with her big voice during America's Got Talent audition.

Kristen was in the process of applying for a job at Home Depot when she decided to listen to that still small voice within her. God was telling her he created her to stand out and that he had given her the gift of singing. So, with a lot of courage and a heap of faith, she landed an audition at AGT. You can tell that the judges didn’t think anything of her at first but they were in for a mindblowing surprise.

The moment she opened her mouth, the sultry, deep passionate voice of hers set the stage on fire as she sang ‘I See Red’ by Everybody Loves Outlaw. It was absolutely incredible. Not only did Kristen’s vocal talents mesmerize the audience, she stunned all four judges too! The judges were blown away by her powerful voice and the confidence in her ability to hit every sultry octave.

Those who watched the video online were amazed too. One viewer commented, “Wow what an amazing voice she has! And I actually think it's kind of better than the original because Kristen's voice is a bit deeper, rawer and she sings it out with full feeling! The dream of singing and not being the industry standard 👍

Well, I would have liked to have heard such a voice in the soundtrack of "365 Days.’” Another viewer added, “Watching her was like watching Kelly Clarkson but even better. She's going to go far.” We couldn’t agree more, this won’t be the last time we see or hear from Kristen. We can’t wait to see where God leads her next!

Simon Stops Nervous Piano Player But By The End Everyone Is On Their Feet

Kieran Rhodes had a love for baseball until he stumbled upon icon Billie Joel, suddenly he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Even though he’d never picked up a musical instrument before in his life, it didn’t stop him from making it all the way to America’s Got Talent for an audition. But the most shocking thing happens. Simon stone this nervous piano player but by the end everyone is on their feet!

Can you imagine being in the middle of your big moment to shine only to have Simon stop you? But Simon did it for good reason. Kieran was nervous and holding back. Simon wanted him to shine instead of shrinking into himself. After Kieran introduced himself to the judges, they heard how he had taught himself to play piano, sing, and even made it into Berklee College of Music.

The judges knew this young man had talent, it was just a matter of drawing it out. So when Kieran began to play a Billy Joel song, it didn’t seem a fit for the stage. In the middle of playing, Simon raised his hand to signal for Kieran to stop. He was shocked at first but then Simon asked him to play a song he had written himself because he wanted Kieran’s talent to really shine on the stage. The song he chose recounted the journey of walking through depression.

In that moment, Kieran’s gift of music blew away the audience and the judges. But the time he finished singing, everyone was on their feet. In the end, the judges encouraged him to chase his dreams because he is the whole package, he only needs to believe in himself. Now if we can all take a lesson from Simon’s playbook and have the courage to do just that even if we need a nudge or two from those who believe in us.

Quick-Thinking Teen Jumps Into Water To Save Woman Who Accidentally Drove Into Bay

One quick-thinking teen jumps into the water to save a young woman who accidentally drove into Patchogue Bay—proving that age doesn’t determine maturity, courage, or selflessness! Meet 17-year-old, soon-to-be high school graduate Anthony Zhongor!

Greg Cergol shares the story from the Village of Patchogue on Long Island, New York, where Anthony was hanging out and listening to music the evening prior when an emergency occurred right before his eyes. 18-year-old Mia Samolinski, having inadvertently pressed on the gas pedal, drove her SUV right into the bay!

The episode was captured by a surveillance camera and is shared here. Perhaps a dozen bystanders run onto the scene, but it is Anthony who dives into the bay to save Mia from the sinking car!

Once in the water, Anthony pulled Mia from the rear door of the car after having no luck opening her door. The two swam to safety and were uninjured, but the story might have turned out very differently if not for Anthony’s bravery. Charlie Samolinski met and expressed his gratitude to Anthony, thankful that there was somewhere on the dock that night willing to do what needed to be done!

Anthony wears a t-shirt with the quote, “Pain is Weakness Leaving the Body.” That sounds right. Anthony will soon join the ranks of the United States Marines, so Staff Sergeant Chris Erazo met and commended Anthony for his life-saving actions. The veteran Marine called Anthony “a fantastic young individual,” saying that “he has the qualities and traits of a leader, a hero.”

Anthony shared with Greg Cergol that he has a great fear of being trapped in a car, causing him to immediately rush to the young woman’s aid. We think it is likely that Anthony would have responded just as he did with or without that particular phobia. Anthony is a young man of great character, and it is encouraging to know that he has chosen to serve his country!

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

Woman In Stairwell Sings Chilling Rendition Of 'Hymn To The Sea' While 9-Months-Pregnant

Can you imagine what this baby heard the entire time she was growing in her mother’s womb? You don’t want to miss this beautifully haunting rendition of one of the most beautiful songs of all time. A woman in a stairwell sings a chilling rendition of ‘Hymn To The Sea’ while nine months pregnant. But here’s the fun part, Lauren Paley became internet famous during the pandemic. As a singer and artist, she was confined to the walls of her apartment during lockdown. So to pass the time, she connected with fans on Instagram and TikTok. Her first video went viral stunning millions who listened to her haunting voice filling up the stairwells.

Since then, she’s made several videos like this one. But this time around, she decided it was time for a makeover of one of her first big internet sensations with our favorite Titanic song, “Hymn To The Sea.” But the reason behind remaking the song was for very special reasons. She is nine months pregnant with her first baby and she is trying every way possible to signal to her precious, sweet baby girl that it’s time to come into the world. It’s the baby’s official eviction notice to vacate the premises of her body and move into her arms!

Can you imagine that kind of eviction notice inside the womb? I wonder what her mother’s voice sounds like while she is wrapped up safely in the womb. No matter the reason that Lauren is singing in the stairwell, you will love how beautiful she sounds and just how cute she looks as she holds her baby bump. Thank God for talent like this, it somehow inspires each of us to do all we can to reflect God’s glory in the gifts he’s given us.

Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Paralyzed 18-Year-Old Walks At His High School Graduation

This is a story of baby steps that led to accomplishing big goals all for the glory of God. Jake Thibeault had dreams of playing hockey in college. He had fallen in love with the sport as a little child. But tragedy struck and determination set in! This paraylzed 18-year-old walks at his high school graduation in spite of being paralyzed at the waist down from a hockey accident.

Jake doesn’t remember much when he woke up in the hospital except to tell his parents he would walk again. And more specifically, he was determined to walk at his graduation. His parents believed that time heals all wounds but how could time heal something like this? In the beginning of learning how to live in a wheelchair his parents wondered how their precious son would walk at graduation when he couldn’t even sit up on his own, or even feed himself.

After nine long months of physical therapy this courageous man took 30 steps. The more Jake worked through rehabilitation, the more determined he became. As Jake thought about his goal, the harder he worked. He went above and beyond in each of his therapy sessions because he wanted to put everyone’s doubt to rest.

Because of his determination, courage, hope, and a whole lot of faith in God, Jake and his parents experienced the sweet taste of victory when Jake walked at his graduation. In this inspiring video, you will want to cheer and praise God as you witness Jake walk across the stage to get his diploma. Nine months of hard work equated into 30 steps. His fellow classmates, family, and the school community went wild.

If we all could have a lion’s heart like this kid, I think we would see mountain’s move. We hope his story inspires you to have faith that no matter the odds, or how big the mountain is in front of you, God will be the author and perfecter of your story. And like Jake’s story, God isn’t done writing it yet. All it takes is one step at a time.

Matthew 17:20 “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Brothers With Autism Win The Judges Over With Epic Impressions

Ever heard of a perfect impersonation of Simon Cowell singing You Will Be Found or how about Kermit The Frog singing Tiny Dancer? The Brown brothers with autism win the judges over with epic impressions and it doesn’t stop there. They received a standing ovation and all four judges sent them on to the next round in America’s Got Talent.

Okay, so these guys can do impersonations but they can also sing and are musically gifted as well. What’s even more amazing is how they explain what it means to be high functioning as an austic person. For some on the spectrum, it simply means they have a hard time understanding or reading social situations and interactions. Despite being on the spectrum, Gabriel and Nate Brown blew the judges away with their talent.

The brothers said not only was it nerve racking enough to be on stage and on TV but also because they weren’t sure which one of the 576 variations of impressions and songs they would be performing. They mixed up the cards and passed them onto the judges. What happened next was blessedly pure, raw, and fun talent! Who wouldn’t want to hear a perfect rendition of Tears Of Jupiter and then hear it as SpongeBob?

The duo had only hoped to win over the judges. Instead they won over the hearts of everyone on and off the America’s Got Talent show. Gabriel and Nate are living proof that no matter how each of us are created, we are designed with God’s Glory in mind. They not only embraced their autism, they blew past the barriers and exceeded way beyond anyone’s expectations. We hope this video that is going viral makes your day and puts a smile on your face.

Come As You Are (my first music video)

Soon after joining the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1988, my wife and I were at a Christian book store looking to replace a lot of my secular music with music that would draw me closer to God. CDs were all the rage and they were selling all their vinyl no one wanted at literally 10% of face value. We bought a whole bunch of music. This particular album was my favourite. I have tried to find these guys on the internet over the years and never could. I made this video, a collection of various still frame memes I've created for social media over the last few years, as a tribute to them.

All the quotes are either NKJV Bible verses, Ellen White book references or a few I made up myself. Most of the pics are mine but a few are from Pexels. One mountain scene comes from Arthur Murray, whom I thank. Thanks as well to my wife for this idea!

Texas Singer Is Called The 'Elvis Of Country' After Original AGT Audition

Elvis may not still be alive, but one Texas singer is called the “Elvis of Country” after his original “America’s Got Talent” audition. His name is Drake Milligan, and his future is looking bright!

Drake, who is from Fort Worth, shares a bit of background with viewers. Drake describes a typical country upbringing. His dad runs a scrap yard, and his mom is a veterinarian. He grew up fishing and hunting, but his life changed when he was 7 years old and dining out with his family.

An Elvis impersonator performed at the restaurant that evening, and Drake was fascinated. He began impersonating Elvis at that young age, dressing as Elvis did and singing his songs. When Drake got older and sang his own songs one night on stage, he realized that he could create his own style—one that was uniquely his with the influences of Elvis that he appreciates so much.

Simon and Drake discuss Drake’s current status as a singer. Drake is based out of Nashville, recording some of his own songs and touring with the band that is with him on stage at “AGT.” He hopes that “AGT” will provide the visibility to really launch his career, likening “AGT” to “The Ed Sullivan Show” and its impact on the careers of Elvis and The Beatles.

Watch as he sings “Sounds Like Something I’d Do.” It is a clever and fun song, and it is all his. But, Drake definitely borrows a few bits from “The King of Rock and Roll.”

Just before starting, he says “Thank you very much,” which certainly reminds us of Elvis. His hair is dark and has a wave in it—a modern version of Elvis’s pompadour. At 4:03, Drake shakes his shoulders just like his idol used to do. Then, he goes into a dance at 4:16 that looks quite like the one that Lisa Marie’s daddy did so well!

Drake is backed by four musicians that have lots of personality, too. Notice that the fiddle player looks a bit like Matt Damon, and he is very entertaining to watch!

It’s a rousing and rascally song, and, after it ends, Howie speaks first to say that he thinks both the song and Drake are going to be hits! Sofia thinks America is going to go crazy for Drake, just as the girls in the audience are at that moment!

Drake gets four yeses, and he is moving on. Elvis died nearly 45 years ago. Drake, now 23 years old, is generations beyond Mr. Pressley. But, it’s interesting to see how Drake was so impressed by Elvis, and we’re betting that Drake will do some major impressing himself one day soon!

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Adorable Uncle And Niece Duo Win Over Simon With “Ain't No Mountain High Enough”

This adorable uncle and niece duo wins over Simon with their performance of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” and wow the entire audience with their cuteness quotient!

Meet Joseph B. Clarke, better known as Jojo, and his pint-sized 14-year-old niece, Bri’Anna Harper. Together these two have something that, according to Simon, is the “definition of joy and magic.” We think you’ll agree!

As the two meet the judges, it is clear that Jojo is a familiar face. This isn’t his first time in front of the “America’s Got Talent” panel; Jojo actually competed in Season 15 of “AGT.” He was then with a gospel vocal trio called RESOUND, eliminated in the Quarterfinals.

Simon asks Jojo what the key thing was that he learned through his prior experience on “AGT,” and Jojo shares that he learned, most of all, to never give up. That answer works for Simon and Heidi. Jojo says that he’s tried to teach that to his niece, because “she’s phenomenal.” Bri gives her uncle an appreciative embrace.

When Simon asks Bri what her dream is and how she’d spend her winnings, she says she wants to make people smile and give to charity. That answer works for everybody! This little lady has got a megawatt smile herself! The two haven’t even started singing, and the judges are in love!

As they prepare to begin, Jojo asks Bri if she’s ready, and he assures her that she is. Jojo is not only a singer, producer, composer, and arranger—he’s also a vocal coach! Bri is just one of the hundreds of students her uncle has worked with since he founded Clarke Vocal Coaching in 2013. A gifted artist himself, he wants to help other young singers to realize their musical talents, too.

Bri’s Mom, Eboni, stands watching with “AGT” host, Terry Crews. She takes a deep breath in and lets it out, her hands folded in front of her face. But, this isn’t the first time she’s watched her baby girl perform. Bri shared a song on social media in 2018, and that performance went viral, leading to appearances on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” and “The VIEW,” among others. Bri was in 6th grade at the time!

When they start channeling Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, it is pure fun! Jojo and Bri have the energy and the moves, the synergy and the notes! They deliver goosebumps and good feels! Soon, Simon’s eyes fly open when Bri belts out a big one, Howie’s hand is on top of his head in surprise, and Terry and Eboni are in full-blown dance mode by the chorus!

The audition ends with a standing ovation, hugs and high-fives, and four resounding yesses! Simon says that theirs is among his favorite auditions thus far. High praise!

Jojo and Bri demonstrate humility as they excitedly thank the judges, and their social media posts illustrate their gratefulness to God. While the judges are praising them, they are praising and thanking Him!

“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6

18-Year-Old Australian Travels To America Alone To Pursue Dancing Dream On AGT

This is a video where dreams come true. In this clip, we see an 18-year-old Australian who travels to America alone to pursue dancing.

At the start of this video Max Ostler shares that he has come to America by himself at the young age of 18 to dance in an audition on America’s Got Talent. As he shares that he is dancing, the crowd cheers.

He is asked how long he has danced. Max shares that he has trained for ten years in a studio but loved dancing since he was little. His dream is to be a choreographer and dancer.

Max begins to dance, he starts out with intensity and very unique moves. He is smooth but precise in his moves. He does amazing motions and almost slow-motion falls gracefully to the music’s lyrics.

Max pulls out some outrageous acrobatics, spinning upside down, sliding sideways on his head, and doing a front flip forward roll. Max does his dance with such passion and feeling. He is a natural performer. The crowd goes wild after his performance.

Max shares that he has fought thoughts that he is not that good but he remembers he loves it. The judges tell him that it was incredible and how proud his parents must be. Max gets all four yeses from the judges.

The way that Max developed his skill and shared his gifts with the world reminds us that God has also gifted us too. Whatever those passions and abilities, we are to give our best for the glory of God. He can use our talents to bless others and wow them!

"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

Choir Of NFL Players Score A Touchdown With 'Lean On Me' AGT Audition

You never know when unexpected talent might show up. In this video, a choir of NFL players scores a touchdown with their 'Lean On Me' AGT audition.

At the start of the video, we see an interview with the team. We hear the various teams that these young men have played for in pro football. There is a full range of teams.

One player shares that they love playing football, however, they each have a childlike dream to sing on a big stage. They call themselves the Players Choir. They joke that they were rivals and now they are teammates.

When sharing their story, one choir member shares that in 2004 they participated in the “Celebration of Gospel,” which happens at every Superbowl.

He credited that Patti LaBelle asked them to sing and it revealed that they had talent. They now go sing as a choir for St. Jude and the American Cancer Society. They desire to spread light and joy.

As the team gets into position, they begin the song and the team is soulful and excitedly dances while they sing. They have fantastic runs and harmonies. They do an incredible performance which gets a positive response from the crowd.

The audience cheers when they are finished. Then, they are asked to sing the chorus again acapella. Removing the soundtrack made this group shine even more. The judges stand in ovation.

They rave about how they are using their platform for charity, they are good singers, and their energy and story are amazing. This story of teamwork and the foundation of gospel music makes this group all the more exciting to watch.

They are giving their all, just like we are called to give our best to the glory of God.

"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." Proverbs 6:3
