Restaurant Surprises Blind Woman With Braille Cake On Her Birthday

This video can help brighten any day. A restaurant surprises a blind woman with Braille cake on her birthday. As the waiter carries a special delivery to the table of a woman, this sweet birthday girl is in for a surprise. ​​Natalie Te Paa is a blind singer/songwriter from England. Her producer Claire spoke with the restaurant, Luciano by Gino D'Campo, and arranged for Natalie to have a braille birthday wish written in chocolate on a plate. The waitress asks Natalie to give her hand and places it on the chocolate. Natalie begins to gasp and responds in excitement, “They did not!” Claire says, “You guys are amazing.” Natalie says, “Wow that is wild!” She continues, “You officially win, for the best restaurant dessert ever.” Claire introduces Natalie to Validia who came up with the idea to encourage Natalie on her special day. The extra effort of kindness shown by this restaurant and Claire reminds us to be on the lookout for others. Many times there are people with disabilities who do not get to experience the world in the same ways. This clip reminds us of the message to love well and go the extra mile to bless them. Natalie may be blind, but God can use each and every one of us to glorify Him. Jesus reminds us that being blind is not due to sin or punishment, but so that the Lord may be magnified. “As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him." John 9:1-3

The Voice Finalist Turns From Rockstar Life To Use His Platform For God

Voice Finalist Curtis Grimes turned from his rockstar life to use his platform for God after hearing a song that made all the difference in his world. God’s plans definitely have a way of surprising us, and Curtis Grimes is no exception! Here we see Curtis singing and strumming his guitar on the bleachers of a baseball field, and we’re told the story of Curtis’s early passions. A Texas native, Curtis was born in 1985. He accepted Christ at the age of eight, and Curtis says that he told his father, “Hey, when I’m big, I wanna play major league baseball, and I wanna, I wanna use that platform to tell people about Jesus.” Could there be any better plan than that for a young man! When Curtis became involved in high school sports, he also began partying, drinking, and having sex. He strayed far from his connection to Christ, but he excelled as a pitcher and earned a scholarship to Centenary College in Louisiana. While there, Curtis became engaged and left baseball for that relationship. However, when the romance ended, Curtis found himself alone and no longer eligible to play the sport he’d worked so hard at. It was then that Curtis tried his hand at music. He bought a used guitar and taught himself how to play. Still partying and living a life contrary to his Christian values, Curtis wrote songs and played with his band. As with baseball, he found success. A radio contest provided him the opportunity to open for Kenny Chesney in 2008, and, in 2011, he appeared on The Voice! Promoters, bookings, touring, and single releases came. And, they all pointed to commercial success for Curtis. He explains that he was riding that wave while also continuing to live a lifestyle of partying. He was singing songs that were not Godly and using his platform in the opposite way as what he’d planned as a little kid. In the Fall of 2015, Curtis heard the song “Through It All” by Andrae Crouch. Life changed. Curtis explains that hearing that song forced him to stop and examine how he’d been living. He prayed and asked God for forgiveness, and he considered leaving the music industry altogether. Instead, though, he recognized that he needed to stay and move forward with using the platform he’d gained to demonstrate the changes in his life—to bring a message of hope and salvation to his audience. Unfortunately, the music industry professionals were not on board with his plan, and they disappeared. Curtis didn’t see this as the end, though. He recognized it as the perfect path for him to do the positive music he now wanted to share. In doing so, Curtis gained success once again. He has been named “Top Country Christian Artist” at the Texas Country Music Awards, and he’s had several number-one singles. Now married and with a family, Curtis is also the founder of Ten Finger Ministry. TFM’s mission is to distribute Bibles all over the world. Curtis recorded “Through It All” himself. His rendition is quite different from Andrae Crouch’s, but both are beautiful. The song reminded Curtis of his faith roots and brought him back to them. Who knows how his version might impact someone else! “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Twin Sisters Perform Mesmerizing Rhythmic Gymnastics Routine

Watch and be wowed as these twin sisters perform mesmerizing rhythmic gymnastic routines for the individual all-around qualifying session in Tokyo! Arina and Dina Averina, representing the Russian Olympic Committee, are identical twins competing against each other here, but reportedly best friends and each other’s biggest supporters. If one beautiful and amazingly-gifted athlete isn’t enough for a family, their parents have two! Arina appears first on the mat as off-camera broadcasters comment on current scores and standings. She’s wearing a bold leotard of red, yellow, and black. After a few steps around the floor, Arina positions her ribbon-and-stick apparatus just so. It rests against the side of her face, and, with her hip thrust forward, she readies for that first note. Arina has chosen a classical instrumental piece. And, it is beyond bewildering to watch her perform. This sport requires skills in more than just one area. It incorporates both dance and gymnastics, and it also combines moves like those done by flag corps or drill teams during marching band performances at Friday football games. Only, at this level, everything is obviously on a super grand scale! Arina’s ribbon seems like an extension of her body. It turns out that the ribbons can’t merely float through the air in a random lovely way; they aren’t there just for color. They have to be in constant motion! Arina and Dina must incorporate certain moves into their routines. They have names like: “flicks” and “circles” and “snakes” and “spirals.” It looks like Arina didn’t miss one! Arina concludes her routine and takes her seat alongside her coach while waiting for the scores. Arina and her coach form a heart with their hands for family and fans, and next up is Dina. Dina’s leotard is white with bits of blue in it, but she uses a red ribbon on a yellow stick just as Arina did. Her hair is likewise styled in a tight bun. However, her music is a more romantic tune with lyrics. She is just as stunning and talented as her sister, and, in the end, her score puts her slightly above Arina. Regardless of scores and winners, those watching the girls and witnessing the beauty and grace that both exhibit in those few minutes—that’s where the real joy is! And, here’s what else? Arina and Dina have another sister. Polina is their older sibling and the one who got them excited about gymnastics! “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:8

12 Young Disco Dancers Take Us Back In Time With Groovin' BGT Audition

This video is one of the most adorable videos I have seen in a while. 12 young disco dancers take us back in time with groovin’ BGT audition. The adorable group of girls with pigtail buns and one boy in popping pink outfits stand confidently on the stage as the judge asks what is their name, the little performers respond, “Groove Thangs.” The crowd loves them. The judge asks the one boy what it is like for him to be the only boy among all the girls and he shares, “I really like it.” The crowd laughs. The judge asks, “Is there any romance going on?” the taller girl next declares, “He’s taken.” Everyone laughs and smiles at this. The judge asks, “Do you want to win?” They all shout out in unison, “Yes!” As these children begin to dance in their colorful outfits, everyone is in awe of their high level of skills. The choreography is incredible and the facials of each child are perfection. The little boy in particular shines. This video is nothing short of entertaining. The audience goes wild over the dance. The judges rave over the performance and they receive 4 yeses. The group is so thrilled. What I love about this performance is that it reminds us to give our all. Each dancer gave 100% to this audition. In the same way God deserves 100% from us. Each day we have the opportunity to glorify HIm with our lives. Like these kids did their best, we can also strive through the power of the Holy Spirit to give our best for the Lord. “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31

Country Singer Dustin Lynch Brings 17-Year-Old On Stage For Surprising Duet

It’s not every day when a young woman’s dreams come true. However, in this video, country singer Dustin Lynch brings a 17-year-old on stage for a surprising duet. In this clip, Dustin invites a fan up to the stage to sing with her during one of his songs, “Thinkin’ About You.” He happens to choose Hailey James who is a young woman who loves to sing. The girl appears nervous at first and in complete awe that she is standing on stage at the concert of one of her favorite singers. As they begin the duet, Dustin sings first and then grabs Hailey by the hand and takes her to one side of the stage. Then, it is Hailey’s turn at the mic. She begins singing and Dustin is in shock at the level of talent this girl has that is revealed. Dustin continues to lead Hailey across the stage and walk while the two of them sing the melody together. At one point Hailey is so tickled by the whole experience that she stops and giggles because this is actually happening to her. It is completely adorable. Dustin points towards Hailey as the fans go wild at the end of the song. He gives her a hug and says, “Make some noise for Hailey” She grabs her chest and exhales. She says, “I’m shaking.” Dustin replies, “I’m shaking too, I’m nervous.” He thanks her and the crowd cheers. This video reminds me of how God is so much greater than any celebrity. Just as Hailey felt amazed that Dustin would choose her to come on his stage, we can be even more in awe that the Lord of all would choose us as His children. “For you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." 1 Peter 2:10

FedEx Driver Goes Above And Beyond For Young Boy With Autism

If you need to see just how great humans can be, look no further than this story. It will put a smile on your face and a pep in your step because this FedEx driver goes above and beyond for a young boy with Autism. Ryan Avila is a seven-year-old boy on the spectrum and his favorite thing? Trucks. All kinds of trucks. If it has wheels, he is all over it. He loves buses, bank trucks, dump trucks, semi-trucks, and especially delivery trucks! On Easter morning, his mom got him a very special truck—a FedEx truck and Ryan was just over the moon. Later that morning, their delivery driver George Thomas pulled into the driveaway. He had another package to deliver, and he had no idea he was about to make Ryan’s day. While Ryan was enamored with his new truck, his grandmother announced the FedEx truck was outside and Ryan was so excited he rushed outdoors while he was still in his pajamas. When Ryan’s mom explained that he loves trucks and he had just gotten a FedEx truck for Easter, George didn’t hesitate to bring Ryan more joy. George encouraged Ryan to go inside the truck and explore! During the visit, George learned just how special of a kid Ryan is as his mom explained that he was on the Autism Spectrum. But what touched George’s heart is how Ryan looked up to him like he was a superhero. After all, George got to drive a truck and not just any truck—he got to drive a FedEx truck. The next day George returned with a surprise. He brought Ryan more gifts from the FedEx company—a soccer ball, a shirt, and even a hat! The look on Ryan’s face was priceless. It was a look of pure joy, happiness, and admiration! Can we all just take a moment to thank God for George’s heart that is so full of grace, kindness, and love? 2 Toddlers Share Loving Reunion After Battling Cancer Together

Now this story is worthy of its own movie or being made into a Taylor Swift love song. It’s the story of two toddlers who have overcome so much! This is the story of two sweet toddlers who share a loving reunion after battling cancer together. Grab a tissue and be prepared to bawl your eyes out because it is so sweet! Before Mack and Payson could learn how to run, they both had to overcome cancer first. Over the last couple of years, the pair was diagnosed with pediatric cancer. Earlier this year, the toddlers met on the pediatric cancer ward and became fast friends. They went to treatments together. They played together. They developed a close bond because each understood what the other was going through. Thankfully, they both overcame cancer together and both of them got to go home. But what their parents didn’t expect was for Mack and Payson to request to see each other. Ty Porter, Mack’s dad said, “They know what each other are going through. They know the heart whereas we can all guess. We can understand a little bit but they know 3-year-old pediatric cancer.” After the toddlers kept asking to see each other, their parents began helping them Facetime and send messages to one another. But that wasn’t enough for Payson and Mack. So after two months of being separated and recovering at home, their parents made plans to reunite the toddlers. The video of them reuniting for the first time is just precious. Mack brought flowers for little Miss Payson and he couldn’t wait to hug her! Payson just stares at him and touches him just to make sure he is real. But the most beautiful part of the story is when she invites Mack to dance with her. I imagine these two will dance through life together from here on out. They’ve already overcome some of life’s biggest hurdles, but they have God and each other to keep each other going. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9

'You'll Never Walk Alone' Andrea Bocelli Performs On Late Night TV

Andrea Bocelli inspires with this beautiful performance of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ on The Tonight Show. This iconic song was originally a show tune from the musical Carousel. Talented composers Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein wrote the song in 1945. In later years, other artists lent their vocals to the tune and gave it mainstream media attention. Elvis Presley released his rendition of the single in 1967 and even titled his album after the song. “When you walk through a storm hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm is a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark.” For decades, Andrea has been showcasing his incredible vocals with songs such as ‘The Prayer’ and ‘Time To Say Goodbye.’ After a 14-year hiatus from releasing an album, Andrea produced ‘Si’ in 2018. This international success proved that this Italian vocalist is still a powerhouse. Now, Andrea has shown no signs of slowing down with several high-profile collaborations and even a record-breaking classical live stream on YouTube. Today, he’s appearing on The Tonight Show Featuring Jimmy Fallon with a special performance of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone.’ “Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone.” The words of this song always make me think of our relationship with Christ. He remains with us through every moment, so we are never truly alone. Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Let's begin today's teaching with our foundational text for the series. Proverbs 6:2 says, you are trapped by the words of your mouth: you are ensnared by the words of your mouth.

Live in the Authority of God's Word.

Psalm 1:2-3 reads, 2 But his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. 3 He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water that produces its fruit in its season whose leaf also does not wither (World English Bible).

Live in the Power of God's Word.

Hebrews 4:12 reads, 12 For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart (World English Bible).

Live in the Power of God's Spoken Word.

Isaiah 55:11 reads, 11 so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do (World English Bible).

God’s word is not powerless; It is only powerless when unspoken. So, speak the Word of God.

Family Band Sings Elvis Medley Of 'That's Alright' and 'Blue Suede Shoes'

Check out this talented family band sing an Elvis Medley of 'That's Alright' and 'Blue Suede Shoes' right from their living room. “Tonight we have a double whammy of Elvis hits! We played a mashup of two early Elvis songs which happened to be two of our favorites. We hope you enjoy this two for one!” reads the caption of the video on YouTube. “This is Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids playing, ‘That’s Alright’ and ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ by Elvis Presley.” The Clark family is made up of Colt, a professional musician, Aubree, a photographer, and their three children. They homeschool their two sons and daughter, and part of what they do together is learn to play a new song every day. They decided to record some of their performances and share them online, and we are so happy that they did. Because this family band is just so fun to watch! At the start of this video, the little girl introduces the family band before they start playing. Then the dad and his sons play their instruments while the dad sings. And the daughter is in the middle of the group where she dances and mouths the words of the song. What a cutie! ‘That’s Alright’ by Elvis Presley is the first song of the performance. “Well, that's all right, mama, that's all right for you, that's all right mama, just anyway you do Well, that's all right, that's all right, that's all right now mama, anyway you do” This was Elvis Presley’s first commercial recording for Sun Records, and some music historians consider it the first song of the rock and roll genre. The next song the family band sings is ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ by Elvis Presley. “Well, it's one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, now go, cat, go. But don't you step on my blue suede shoes. You can do anything but lay off of my Blue suede shoes.” This part of the performance, the little girl picks up a tambourine and shaker to add to the drums and guitar. One of the boys also has an electric guitar solo, and he is so good! What a talented family! We hope you enjoyed watching them perform these two Elvis songs today!

1Achord Trio Puts Gospel Spin On 'Everybody Hurts' For AGT Quarterfinals

Check out this amazing performance where the 1Achord trio puts a gospel spin on the song ‘Everybody Hurts’ for the America’s Got Talent Quarterfinals. “We’ve been on this wild ride ever since we auditioned for America’s Got Talent,” says one of the members of the group at the beginning of the video. The three men met just a month and a half before their first AGT audition, but they found something so special when they combined their talents. “They have been my bestest friends ever since we met,” says one of the members. “Not only best friends but brothers.” “I definitely think that us coming together was just divine intervention,” says another member of the group. The three men of 1Achord all come from various church backgrounds, and they use music as a way of expressing themselves. They love to create arrangements where they give a gospel-twist to popular songs in a way that people have never heard before. And that’s exactly what they did when they sang their own soulful rendition of ‘Everybody Hurts’ in this clip! “When your day is long and the night, the night is yours alone When you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on Don't let yourself go 'cause everybody cries, everybody hurts sometimes” One of the group members is playing the piano, and they are all dressed up in white. They all sound so amazing individually, and they sound especially wonderful when their voices blend together. “Wow! I don’t know what I was listening to! It’s like rock stars or gospel singers. It’s a combination of both. It’s spectacular!” says Sofia Vergars after 1Achord finished their performance. “Well, I think that this has been the best performance of the night so far. I think you guys are just magic. The harmonies, the leads, everything!” Simon Cowell says. “You are so talented.” What an incredible performance!
