Known for arena-shaking anthems and high-voltage energy, multiplatinum hard rock band Skillet is set to deliver a sizzling performance in Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s Event Center on Friday, March 13, at 7 p.m.
Skillet regularly draws about 10 million monthly Spotify listeners, led by the 5x-platinum hit “Monster,” one of the most-streamed rock songs of all time. The band has toured across four continents and 26 countries and expanded its reach with the graphic novel series “EDEN,” including Z2 Comics’ best-selling title of all time.
Now, the multiplatinum, chart-topping, two-time Grammy Award-nominated global hard rock quartet — John Cooper (lead vocals, bass), Korey Cooper (guitar, keys), Jen Ledger (drums, vocals) and Seth Morrison (lead guitar) — delivers an insurgent, infectious and inimitable body of work with their twelfth full-length offering and first-ever independent album, “Revolution.”
After an incredible 20 years on Atlantic Records, Skillet has built this new vision entirely by hand, intentionally opting to go independent at the end of their last contract and developing a solid indie team. Bolstered and galvanized by the support of its fervent global fan base, Skillet took advantage of this newfound freedom, writing and recording “Revolution” at its own pace on the road and at home as well as in studios across Milwaukee, Nashville and Canada.
The group also tapped the talents of longtime collaborators and producers Brian Howes and Seth Mosley, as well as band member Korey Cooper, with YOUTHYEAR/Carlo Colasacco bringing these ten tracks to life naturally.
In addition to the two Grammy Award nominations, Skillet has earned a Billboard Music Award and three Top 5 albums on the Billboard 200. The band has sold more than 22 million units worldwide, with 12 singles and four albums certified multiplatinum, platinum or gold by the RIAA.
