From their new album "Directions Home". I like the melody and the background music, but for some reason the lyrics sort ot bother me. When I pray at the end of the day (or any other time), I don't usually pray for myself, and ask for God to make my life "good". God has already promised to make my life "good" in Jeremiah 29:11, if I trust in Him. On the other hand, He has also promised that my life will be troubled: see John 16:33. But, I understand the sentiments of the song; I think it's about asking for guidance to live a life that is pleasing to Him, not about asking for a bed of roses.
Heard this song on the radio the other day. Wow, what a masterpiece! Recorded by Colton Dixon on his album "Anchor". Written by Ben Glover and Molly Reed. I think a lot of people can relate to these lyrics. This is the story of many people's life. In the end, we always have God's faithfulness to depend upon, through all of it.
Heard this song the other day on K-LOVE. It's a chick song. I am not a chick. I don't pretend to understand chicks' emotions. But I think I can connect somewhat with their emotions. So I made this video for this passionate song by a woman named Blanca Callahan (sorry to expose the last name, she apparently prefers to go by the simple name "Blanca".) Very unique style, I love the progresssiveness and sentiment of this music. Nice message in the song.
A YouTube buddy asked me a few months ago to make a video for this song. It's called "Prayer Of Gethsemane" (sorry, I missed posting this for Easter by a couple of days.) I'm not sure who is singing it. I think it may be from an accompaniment track, although it may be Lowell Alexander. Does anyone know? Lovely melody, lovely and simple message : "Not my will, but Thine be done." As we all know, that's easier said than done, since we tend to "lean on our own understanding." Well, at least I do.
Every. Single. Day. That's how often I need to be reminded to trust in the Lord with all my heart and follow His ways. That's what makes this version of Proverbs 3:5–6 PERFECT for me! Just load it up each day, and I'm good to go.
When I consider the works of your hand, God, I'm just so AMAZED that You love me like You do. And this inspiring version of Psalm 8 takes me right into worship.
